Product Description:
The 14.F4.F1E-4I00 frequency inverter is produced by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. This adjustable-speed AC drive converts fixed three-phase mains power into variable-voltage and variable-frequency output so plant controllers can match motor torque and speed to process demand. Designed for cabinet installation, the unit serves conveyors, pumps, and other automation axes that benefit from energy-saving vector control.
Control is executed through field-oriented algorithms that allow precise torque response throughout the speed range. The input side draws a nominal current of 18.1 A from a three-phase supply wired with a 4 mm² line cross-section. The inverter delivers 16.5 A at the output, and this value also serves as its stall current when the carrier is set to the rated level. Continuous apparent power reaches 11 kVA, corresponding to a rated motor output of 7.5 kW. The unit produces 240 W of power loss, and an E-size heat sink assembly dissipates the resulting switching heat. A built-in braking transistor handles regenerative energy during deceleration, while the carrier frequency can be increased to a maximum of 16 kHz to reduce audible noise. The enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP20, so the inverter must be installed in a clean, ventilated cabinet.
The drive trips when current reaches 36.3 A, but it can tolerate 29.7 A for short periods during acceleration. Upstream circuit protection is provided by a 25 A mains fuse. Thermal management keeps the heat sink temperature from exceeding 73 °C, and steady-state operation uses a carrier frequency of 8 kHz. Rated operation is maintained at ambient temperatures from −10 °C to 45 °C and at up to 95 % noncondensing humidity. A standard fieldbus interface supports networked control, and the panel-mount enclosure is suitable for installation in industrial cabinets.
