Product Description:
The 18.F4.C0H-4005 is a variable-frequency inverter manufactured by KEB as part of the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a modulated output so three-phase motors can start smoothly, accelerate, and run at controlled speeds in automated machinery. Delivered without accessories, the compact control unit installs directly into industrial panels and serves applications such as conveyors, mixers, and material-handling lines where compact motor control is required. This layout supports installations that need straightforward speed regulation without adding unnecessary external hardware.
Its electrical ratings support continuous-duty operation. The supply side accepts conductors up to 25 mm², a cross-section that helps limit cable heating at full load and supports secure termination in the power section. Under nominal conditions, the rectifier draws 55 A, while the inverter section provides 50 A to the motor; these currents correspond to an apparent output of 35 kVA. The drive supports mechanical loads up to 22 kW, making it suitable for many mid-range pumps, fans, and similar process equipment. The control electronics follow a compact design and comply with the electromagnetic compatibility limits of EN 61800-3, so no external filters are needed in typical factory environments. Operation is approved for the 3K3 climatic category, allowing use in spaces where ambient humidity can reach 95% without condensation.
Short-term overload capability assists with acceleration and process surges. The power stage tolerates 75 A for limited intervals, and protective logic opens at 90 A to help prevent semiconductor damage if a stall persists. Shielded motor leads may extend up to 100 m, allowing the inverter to remain in a centralized cabinet while the motor is mounted on distant machinery. The enclosure is rated IP20, providing basic finger protection when installed inside a closed cabinet. Internal sensors supervise temperature and moisture so the unit can respond to changing operating conditions and keep major components within safe limits.
