The 23.F4.T60-1007 is a three-phase AC drive from the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series manufactured by KEB. In an automation cell, it converts fixed-frequency mains power into a variable-frequency output so the connected motor’s speed and torque can be matched to process demand without mechanical throttling. When used with a PLC or motion controller, the inverter regulates motors in pumps, fans, conveyors, and other variable-speed equipment, helping reduce energy consumption and maintain accurate operating cycles.
The drive supports a continuous output current of 180 A, which is the maximum root-mean-square phase current the power stage can deliver without thermal derating. Its input section accepts a three-phase supply of up to 500 V, allowing direct connection to common 400 V and 460 V plant systems. Internal switching and cooling components dissipate 102 W during nominal operation, and this heat loss should be considered when sizing enclosure ventilation. The line and motor connections each use three 95 mm² conductors to carry the required current while limiting conductor heating. This conductor size also helps control voltage drop across longer cable runs. Separating the motor leads from the incoming supply wiring can reduce electromagnetic interference within the cabinet.
The inverter output studs have M8 threads, providing secure mechanical contact for the motor cable terminals. The protective earth connection uses a larger M10 lug to provide a low-impedance path for fault current. Suitable cable lugs should match these terminal sizes and be tightened according to the applicable installation requirements.
