Product Description:
The 00.F4.010-5A09 is a plug-in operator module produced by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Inserted into the control slot of a drive, it equips the inverter with a dedicated CAN interface so motion or process controllers can exchange status words, setpoints, and diagnostics directly over the plant network. This arrangement gives the inverter a direct network connection for command and status traffic during routine machine operation. The card follows the same mechanical outline used by other operator modules in the family, so it can be installed without altering enclosure layouts or wiring clearances.
Communication is handled through a CAN bus that reaches the drive via a front-mounted D-Sub 9-pin male connector. The physical layer runs at ISO high speed, and the protocol stack complies with ISO/DIS 11898 revision 2.0A. When the module is the last node on a segment, a 124-ohm external resistor can be linked between pins 2 and 7 for proper line termination. Pin allocation is fixed to 2 = CAN_L, 3 = CAN_GND, and 7 = CAN_H, so harness fabrication remains straightforward and signal routing stays consistent across connected devices. At power-up, the board engages an initial link speed that the network master later adjusts, and typical initialization finishes in 6 seconds with a maximum of 12 seconds.
During normal cycles, the module supports selectable bit rates of 10/20/50/100/125/250/500 Kbit/s, allowing cable length and throughput to be matched to the application. It begins every session at 9600 bit/s for node discovery, then switches to the commanded speed once configuration ends. Individual CAN frames can carry up to 8 bytes of user data, which matches the compact process-data structure used by the drive. Electrical separation is provided by safe isolation per VDE 0160, which galvanically isolates the bus from the inverter's high-energy circuits and helps protect the network side from unwanted potential differences. The module is compatible with all KEB F4 devices and installs through its plug-in housing without tools.
