Product Description:
The 07.F4.F8D-5000 frequency inverter is produced by KEB and belongs to the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Classified under the COMBIVERT F4 product type, this compact unit has a D-size housing and applies field-oriented control to regulate three-phase induction motors in automated machinery. A standard fieldbus interface lets it exchange setpoints and status bits with common PLC networks, and the design integrates line terminals sized for 2.5 mm² conductors. Dynamic braking circuitry is included to manage controlled stops during process cycles.
The drive supplies a maximum motor output of 0.75 kW, corresponding to a nominal output current of 4 A and an apparent power of 1.6 kVA. Pulse-width modulation is generated at a carrier frequency of 16 kHz, which keeps stator noise low while preserving vector accuracy. Internal electronics dissipate 65 W during steady operation, so panel airflow must handle that thermal load. With a protection rating of IP20, the unit is intended for mounting inside an enclosed cabinet. Supply wiring is protected by a 20 A mains fuse, and the braking circuit tolerates 7 A for energy dissipation through an external resistor with a minimum resistance of 56 Ω or a typical resistance of 100 Ω.
During normal service, the inverter draws 8 A from the mains and can deliver short bursts of 7.2 A to the motor windings before the electronic cutoff intervenes at 8.8 A. The heat sink has a maximum permitted temperature of 85 °C. The inverter can operate at ambient temperatures from -10 to 45 °C and at up to 95% noncondensing humidity. Spring terminals tightened to 0.5 Nm secure the supply leads. The control electronics manage braking sequences so resistor loading and fuse ratings remain within the permitted limits.
