The 05.F4.S2C-1220 frequency inverter is produced by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Classified by the manufacturer as a COMBIVERT F4 unit, it converts fixed-frequency, single-phase mains power into a variable output that allows controllers to adjust induction motor speed and torque. The device is intended for small conveyor sections, pumps, or positioning axes where compact power electronics simplify panel layouts. By modulating voltage and frequency, it provides the variable power needed to meet dynamic motion demands in automated machinery.
Its mains interface is designed for a single-phase supply, so the inverter connects directly to standard low-power service lines without requiring a three-phase feed. Acceptable line conditions span 180–260 V, allowing the drive to tolerate moderate fluctuations while maintaining a regulated motor output. Continuous load capacity is limited by a nominal output current of 2.3 A, and the control electronics permit a temporary overload of up to 4.6 A to start inertial loads or withstand short transients. Fingers and tools are shielded from live parts, but no protection against dripping water is provided, so the unit must remain in a closed panel with adequate airflow. The inverter also uses Standard control mode, includes the Standard fieldbus option, and operates in the 230 V voltage class.
