At the core of the drive is a DC intermediate circuit built as a DC-voltage link, and stored energy is switched to the motor terminals by pulse-width modulation. The default switching pattern runs at 4 kHz, which balances acoustic noise and switching losses during normal operation. Output frequency can be adjusted from zero up to 409.58 Hz, giving the drive a wide speed range for variable-torque or constant-torque loads.
