The 13.F4.S3D-4000 is an AC frequency inverter produced by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. The unit converts fixed-frequency mains power into a variable-voltage, variable-frequency output so three-phase induction or synchronous motors can be speed-controlled in automated machinery. Within an installation, the inverter sits between the utility supply and the motor, providing vector or V/Hz regulation, acceleration ramps, and managed braking behavior for conveyors, pumps, and other process equipment. This makes it suitable for machines that need repeatable motor response during startup, steady-speed operation, and controlled stopping.
In normal operation, the drive draws a nominal input current of 13.2 A and delivers a nominal output current of 12 A. That operating level corresponds to an apparent power of 8.3 kVA and supports a maximum rated motor power of 5.5 kW. The input stage should be protected by a 20 A mains fuse, and copper supply conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² meet the thermal requirements of the terminals.
