Product Description:
The 16.F4.T60-1009 is an AC drive in the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series from KEB. This unit is intended to modulate the speed of induction motors in automated machinery by converting fixed mains power into a variable-frequency, variable-voltage output for controlled acceleration, deceleration, and steady-state operation. In production lines, conveyor systems, or pump installations, it functions as the link between the incoming supply network and the mechanical load, allowing accurate speed regulation while reducing unnecessary motor stress and energy consumption. Because the drive varies both voltage and frequency, it can support smoother process control than across-the-line motor starting.
The inverter operates on a line voltage of 3 x 500 VAC; this is the nominal phase-to-phase potential required at the input terminals. A continuous output capability of 50 A is the maximum RMS current the semiconductor bridge can supply without thermal derating. Input frequency compatibility spans 50/60 Hz, so the same model can be used on grids that follow European or North American mains standards without hardware changes. The power section is designed for a 3-phase feeder, which supports balanced loading across the supply lines. An integrated HF Filter attenuates high-frequency switching noise, helping reduce conducted emissions and limiting interference on nearby equipment.
The drive can be mounted in G / H housings, which gives flexibility when matching the frame size to the available enclosure space and adjacent component spacing. Its internal insulation structure meets the requirements of the 460 V Class, providing the creepage and clearance distances needed for this voltage range. The permissible mains swing is limited to +10%, so the input supply must remain within that tolerance during operation to avoid overvoltage conditions. Supply protection and upstream regulation should keep transient conditions within that range.
