The 22.F4.C0R-6L11 is an AC frequency inverter produced by KEB and assigned to the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It converts three-phase mains power into a pulse-width-modulated output that allows industrial motors to vary speed and torque under PLC control. Its compact control mode includes standard vector and V/Hz algorithms, enabling the drive to operate both constant-torque and variable-torque loads. By acting as the adjustable link between the power supply and the motor, the unit helps conveyors, pumps, and material-handling equipment maintain controlled motion while reducing mechanical stress during changes in speed.
The R-size housing mounts on a backplate and guides airflow across the heat sink while maintaining an IP20 protection level against finger contact. The control electronics execute torque and frequency loops at a rated carrier frequency of 2 kHz. The inverter delivers a nominal output current of 115 A and an apparent power output of 80 kVA at full load. This electrical capacity supports motors with power ratings up to 55 kW when the surrounding conditions remain within the permitted operating range. The inverter is supplied without factory-fitted accessories, leaving wiring space available for compatible external brake choppers or filters when the application requires them. Backplate mounting also allows heat from the power electronics to move toward the cabinet cooling path without obstructing the front wiring area.
The inverter operates at ambient temperatures from -10 to 45 °C, allowing use in climate-controlled industrial cabinets across a broad range of indoor conditions. It withstands noncondensing relative humidity of up to 95%, but condensation must be prevented to protect the internal electronics and power terminals. Parameter settings and diagnostic data can be exchanged through the optional InterBus fieldbus. This communication connection allows a central controller to send operating commands and retrieve drive status without requiring separate wiring for every exchanged signal. Cabinet ventilation must provide sufficient airflow around the heat sink, particularly when the inverter operates near its nominal output. Adequate spacing around the housing also supports safe access to the terminals and prevents nearby components from restricting the cooling path.
