Product Description:
The 0A.F4.080-0009 is a COMBIVERT F4 frequency inverter produced by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a variable-frequency output, allowing induction motors to operate at the required speed in general automation cells, conveyors, and fan drives. The electronics are available in D and E housing sizes and are protected by an IP20 enclosure for switch-cabinet mounting. This enclosure helps prevent fingers and tools from contacting energized internal parts.
The inverter accepts analog commands of 0–10 V, 0–20 mA, or 4–20 mA, allowing either voltage or current loops to control motor operation. Feedback to the host control is supplied through a 0–10 VDC analog output with a 9-bit resolution, providing 512 distinct reporting levels for diagnostics or closed-loop adjustment. Internal sensors and encoders can be powered by an auxiliary rail rated at +15 VDC with a maximum current of 100 mA. Drive status is routed to field devices through two relay contacts rated for 30 VDC and 1 A. Signal integrity is maintained by electrically isolated analog and digital boards, which help prevent ground loops when external PLCs share supply lines.
The drive has four fixed digital inputs rated for 12–30 VDC with an input resistance of 2 kΩ to handle start, stop, and quick-stop commands. Four programmable digital inputs are also available for user-assigned functions. One transistor output rated for 14–30 VDC and 20 mA provides a fast logic signal, while differential setpoint inputs accept ±10 VDC signals with ±11-bit resolution. The drive operates at ambient temperatures from -10 to 45 °C and tolerates relative humidity of up to 95% without condensation. Brake control and speed control functions are not supported, so applications requiring these capabilities must use suitable external equipment or another control method. A reference source rated at +10 VDC ±3% and 4 mA can supply connected potentiometers.
