The 09.F4.C1D-1220 is a frequency inverter built by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It converts fixed AC mains into variable voltage and frequency so that small industrial motors can be speed-controlled in assembly lines, pumps, and light process equipment. The unit links a single-phase supply to the motor circuit and supports vector control, which helps maintain stable torque during speed changes and varying load conditions. This makes it suitable for applications that need consistent motor response during start-up, load variation, and routine speed adjustment.
It runs from 230 V AC at 50/60 Hz and draws up to 14 A while delivering 7.0 A of continuous output. The power stage can generate carrier-based motor frequencies up to 816 Hz, allowing operation of high-speed motors where the application permits it. A 10-bit analog input and a 15-bit digital interface process speed commands and feedback for accurate closed-loop control. Because the model is supplied without a filter, external RFI hardware may be required where EMC limits apply. The single-phase input arrangement also simplifies installation in locations that do not have a three-phase supply available at the point of use.
Rated motor coverage reaches 1.5 kW, and overload headroom permits 12.6 A for 30 seconds to handle acceleration peaks and short-duration load changes. Apparent input capacity is 2.8 kVA, and the housing carries an IP20 ingress rating for cabinet installation. Ambient operation is allowed from -10 °C to 45 °C, and the controller derates above that upper limit to prevent overheating. The 90 × 250 × 160 mm chassis fits narrow panels while still leaving room for cable routing and vertical airflow. That compact format works well in enclosed machine sections where drive control must be added without taking excessive panel space.
