Product Description:
The 09.F4.CBD-4A02 frequency inverter is produced by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. As a cabinet-mount AC drive, it supplies variable-frequency power to standard three-phase motors so that conveyor, fan, or pump speed can be adjusted directly from the mains line. The unit’s control electronics follow the manufacturer’s compact topology, allowing the drive to occupy minimal panel space while still providing the signal processing and protection functions required in industrial automation cells and general machine control.
Its control type is compact, and the enclosure follows the D housing layout that fits on 35 mm rail systems. When fed from a three-phase supply, the inverter draws an input current of 4.5 A and delivers a continuous output of 4.1 A to the motor. At the nominal operating point, it processes 2.8 kVA of apparent power, suitable for motors with up to 1.5 kW of mechanical output. Protection against branch-circuit faults is ensured by a maximum upstream fuse rating of 10 A, while the electronic overcurrent trip intervenes at 9 A to safeguard the power stage. The drive’s heat sink may reach 79 °C under full load, and switching devices operate at a rated carrier frequency of 4 kHz; the internal bus bars accept conductors up to 1.5 mm².
For short bursts such as acceleration or brief load changes, the inverter tolerates a short-time current of 7.4 A without requiring continuous operation at that level. Dynamic braking hardware is matched to a minimum resistor value of 160 Ω, and a typical 390 Ω element can dissipate regenerative energy safely during deceleration. An IP20 protection rating means live parts are finger-safe when the drive is mounted inside a closed control cabinet, so the unit is intended for protected indoor installation rather than open exposure to accidental contact.
