Product Description:
The 17.F4.F1H-4I01 frequency inverter is produced by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It functions as a power converter that delivers variable-frequency, variable-voltage output to standard AC motors so that motion sequences can be matched to real-time process demands. The device fits into centralized or distributed control panels and provides the fundamental drive element for material-handling, pumping, and forming machinery that relies on accurate speed regulation.
The drive executes vector regulation through field-oriented control, enabling precise torque response even at low shaft speeds. System integration is supported by the InterBus fieldbus option, which provides cyclic data exchange with PLCs over a single shielded cable. The mechanical dimensions follow the H-size housing style, aligning with cabinet layouts intended for the F4 platform. When paired with an induction motor, the inverter can supply up to 18.5 kW of rated mechanical power, making it suitable for medium-duty industrial axes. Inside the enclosure, touch-safe construction meets an IP20 protection rating, limiting access to live parts while allowing ventilation for heat dissipation.
An integrated braking transistor allows the connection of an external resistor so that regenerated energy produced during deceleration can be dissipated without stressing the DC link. The resistor remains outside the enclosure, allowing its thermal capacity to be selected according to the application’s deceleration duty. The permitted ambient operating range is -10 to 45 °C, allowing full output in unconditioned industrial spaces as long as the temperature remains within these limits. The electronics tolerate up to 95% relative humidity when no condensation forms, permitting installation in humid production areas.
