The 19.F4.F3R-4I01 is an AC drive manufactured by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. The unit converts fixed mains power into a variable voltage and frequency output so that connected motors can be accelerated, decelerated, or held at constant speed under changing loads. By doing so, it supports conveyor sections, pumps, and industrial machinery that require closed-loop or open-loop speed control without mechanical gear changes. The housing combines control electronics, power components, and thermal management for panel mounting inside an electrical cabinet.
In standard operation, the inverter accepts a nominal line current of 66 A through conductors up to 25 mm². Internally, pulse-width modulation is generated at a rated carrier frequency of 8 kHz, and users can raise this to 16 kHz when lower acoustic noise is required. The DC link is then reconstructed into a three-phase output able to deliver 60 A continuously, which corresponds to an apparent power of 42 kVA. When paired with a motor rated up to 30 kW, the drive maintains full torque across its programmed speed range. A typical dynamic stop is handled by a 15 Ω braking resistor that converts surplus kinetic energy into heat, while the built-in brake chopper supervises current levels during deceleration.
The enclosure carries an IP20 rating, so it must be mounted in a protected electrical cabinet where ambient airflow can remove the 750 W of power loss produced at nominal load. Heat is transferred to an aluminum heat sink whose temperature is permitted to rise to 90 °C before thermal derating occurs. The braking circuit can momentarily absorb 88 A and will trip at 108 A to protect semiconductor devices, while a 9 Ω resistor value is the minimum safe resistance for harsh stops. Additional safeguards include a 90 A short-time output limit and an 80 A mains fuse that isolates the supply during fault conditions.
