Product Description:
The 13.F4.C3D-4002 variable frequency inverter is produced by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It converts fixed three-phase power into an adjustable waveform so that asynchronous motors follow the required speed and torque profiles in automated lines, packaging equipment, and material-handling stations.
This drive draws a nominal input current of 13.2 A from a 3-phase supply and delivers a nominal output power of 8.3 kVA with 12 A of rated motor current. Its maximum output frequency reaches 409.58 Hz, enabling oversynchronous operation when fast spindle or blower speeds are needed. Short overloads are accommodated by a max short-time current of 21.6 A, while the integrated protection electronics trip at an over-current threshold of 26.4 A. An IP20 housing provides touch-safe access yet requires installation inside a closed panel; this ingress profile is highlighted by the IP20 protection rating. Upstream safety coordination is simplified because the feeder circuit may be protected with a 25 A mains fuse. The inverter satisfies the EN 61800-3 electromagnetic-compatibility class and is qualified for climatic category 3K3, 0–95 % relative humidity, and site altitudes up to 2000 m without output derating. Input conductors up to 4 mm² cross-section can be landed on the screw terminals, and a shielded motor cable may run up to 100 m without violating emission limits.
The power section is sized for a motor rating of 5.5 kW, giving a practical match between electrical headroom and mechanical shaft demand. Under rapid acceleration the control board supervises current and issues a trip at 26.4 A to prevent device damage. When long motor leads are unavoidable, the permitted shielded line length of 100 m helps maintain EMC compliance provided the 4 mm² conductors and the drive’s grounding scheme are observed. With these wiring and environmental parameters in place, the inverter integrates cleanly into cabinets that follow the noted fuse coordination, humidity, and altitude limits.
