The 13.F4.S1E-5A10 is a frequency inverter produced by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a variable frequency output that lets an automation controller regulate induction motor speed and torque. Used in conveyors, pumps, and general machinery, the drive forms the interface between a PLC and the motor, allowing acceleration, deceleration, and constant-speed operation to be programmed instead of relying on mechanical throttling or pole changing.
The inverter has an IP20 enclosure, so its terminals are finger-safe but the unit requires cabinet mounting. It draws a 13.2 A rated input current and can supply 12 A rated output current to the motor, while a 12 A standstill current maintains torque at zero speed. Carrier pulses switch at 16 kHz rated frequency, reducing motor noise and improving current control.
