Within an automation cell, the device sits between the supply and the motor, adjusting voltage and frequency so that motion commands from a supervisory controller are translated into controlled mechanical torque.
The inverter uses field-oriented control to align stator current with rotor flux, improving response at low speed and reducing harmonic losses. It accepts a three-phase input, and the wiring lugs accommodate conductors up to 50 mm², while the nominal input current is 127 A during continuous operation. A built-in brake transistor directs regenerated energy to an external 8.6 Ω braking resistor for rapid deceleration.
