Product Description:
The 12.F4.C3D-3425 is a frequency inverter produced by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. As an adjustable-speed drive, it modulates the output supplied to an induction motor so that conveyor sections, pumps, or small machine axes can run at the commanded speed rather than the fixed mains frequency. This unit is intended for installation inside a control cabinet and fits the manufacturer’s D-style housing family, giving panel builders a consistent footprint in multi-axis assemblies.
The inverter is built with an IP20 enclosure, so it is finger-safe but requires a closed cabinet for dusty or wet areas. During operation, it draws a nominal input current of 10.5 A and delivers an output current of 9.5 A, which helps size the supply wiring and downstream motor leads. At the standard 400 V class connection, this translates into 6.6 kVA of continuous apparent power, while the internal power section is rated to support motors up to 4 kW. The compact control type stores drive parameters in flash memory, and eight discrete sets can be selected without reconfiguration when one inverter must service multiple products on the same line. All terminations accept a conductor cross section of 2.5 mm², and four programmable digital inputs plus two relay outputs provide basic start/stop, fault, or process signaling links to a PLC.
The factory-installed filter and braking transistor reduce conducted emissions and manage excess energy, and the supply may be protected with a fuse no larger than 20 A. When dynamic braking is needed, the external resistor must not drop below 50 Ω so that the transistor stays within its thermal limit. For long motor runs, the drive supports a shielded motor cable length of up to 100 m, maintaining pulse integrity and keeping radiated noise within EMC limits.
