The 15.F4.C1H-3280 is a frequency inverter produced by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It is intended for three-phase AC motor installations where variable speed control, controlled acceleration, and regenerative braking are required. By modulating the output voltage and frequency, the unit allows an automation system to match motor torque to process demand while its integrated braking circuitry manages surplus energy during deceleration.
The inverter connects to a three-phase supply rated at 230 V and can deliver up to 17 kVA of apparent power to the motor terminals. Under continuous operation, the output current is held at 48 A, while carrier pulses are switched at 16 kHz to minimize audible noise and improve current waveform quality. At rated conditions, it supports motors up to 11 kW. Four programmable digital inputs accept run, jog, or limit signals from a PLC, and two programmable relay outputs return status or fault information to supervisory circuits. An integrated braking transistor works with an external resistor; the typical resistor value is 16 Ω, and a minimum of 13 Ω is used when lower thermal loading is needed.
