The 18.F4.F1H-4R01 is an AC frequency inverter produced by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. By modulating the output frequency and voltage of the mains supply, the unit lets control systems vary induction motor speed in conveying, pumping, or positioning equipment. In plant layouts, it sits between the three-phase supply and a motor, converting a fixed 50/60 Hz input into a regulated output that matches real-time process demands while providing built-in braking and protection functions.
The inverter is designed for motors rated up to 22 kW; at that load, the device draws a nominal input current of 55 A from the line. The line terminals accept 25 mm² conductors, and a maximum mains fuse of 80 A protects the upstream circuit. The power electronics dissipate 610 W as heat, and the housing has an IP20 protection rating, so it must be mounted in a closed cabinet. The 3K3 climatic category indicates suitability for ventilated control rooms rather than outdoor service. The motor side provides 50 A of continuous output current, and overcurrent protection trips at 90 A.
