The 18.F4.C0H-3440 is a cabinet-mounted AC frequency inverter built by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It converts three-phase mains power into a controlled output waveform so asynchronous motors can operate at adjustable speed and torque instead of running only at fixed line frequency. This makes the unit suitable for conveyors, pumps, and process equipment where motor speed must follow changing operating demand. The cabinet-mounted format also leaves room for field wiring and supports installation in standard industrial control panels.
Electrically, the inverter is rated for 400 V AC across three input phases. Under continuous duty, it draws 55 A from the mains and delivers 50 A to the motor, which corresponds to a nominal apparent power of 35 kVA. The output stage uses a carrier frequency of 8 kHz, and the control section can operate motors up to 22 kW. This operating range supports medium-power industrial drives while maintaining a practical balance between motor output and input demand. Short-term load demand is supported by a 75 A current limit, while line and motor connections are sized for 25 mm² conductors and protected by an 80 A mains fuse.
Internal protection trips at 90 A to protect the IGBTs, and the switching frequency can be increased to 16 kHz when lower acoustic noise is needed. The housing has an IP20 rating, so the unit is intended for installation inside a control cabinet rather than as a standalone field device. Operation is permitted in ambient humidity up to 95%, and the published dimensions of 297 × 340 × 255 mm help when checking panel depth and component spacing. The metal chassis has a mass of 14 kg, which keeps handling reasonable during installation. These dimensions also allow placement on 300 mm deep panels without introducing unusual mounting requirements.
