The 15.F4.C0G-3440 is a drive unit produced by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. By converting fixed-frequency utility power into a variable-frequency output, the unit allows automated equipment to match motor speed to process demand, improving efficiency and reducing mechanical stress in material-handling, pump, and fan applications. It is designed for three-phase grids and serves as the central power stage between a PLC or stand-alone control loop and a 400-volt-class induction or synchronous motor.
The electrical section accepts a three-phase input ranging from 305–500 V, eliminating the need for an external step-down transformer on standard factory networks. When supplied within this range, the inverter can deliver a nominal output current of up to 24 A, corresponding to a continuous apparent power of 17 kVA at the motor terminals. Under rated cooling and ambient conditions, that current supports motors with mechanical loads as high as 11 kW. Pulse-width modulation operates at a carrier frequency of 8 kHz, balancing acoustic noise, motor heating, and semiconductor losses. The Compact control mode uses condensed parameter groups for faster setup. The standard fieldbus configuration allows the drive to integrate with common serial or parallel I/O without proprietary gateways.
An IP20 protection rating permits cabinet mounting where protection against accidental finger contact is required but liquid ingress is not expected. Safe thermal operation is maintained within an ambient temperature range of -10 to 45 °C, and the conformal-coated circuit boards tolerate relative humidity levels of up to 95% without condensation. The enclosure uses the G-size housing style, providing consistent mounting dimensions for compatible installations.
