The unit converts fixed-frequency mains power into a variable voltage and frequency output for a three-phase induction motor, giving closed-loop speed control without mechanical gear changes. In material handling, pump, and fan installations, the drive maintains required torque while lowering energy use during partial-load operation. A compact footprint and an integrated cooling path simplify placement in crowded control cabinets. By adjusting output to the motor instead of throttling the driven machine, the inverter supports smoother process control across changing loads.
The drive stage relies on an internal IGBT bridge, switching at high frequency to synthesize a sinusoidal waveform for the motor phases. A built-in braking transistor routes regenerated DC-bus energy into a resistor during quick stops to keep the link voltage within safe limits. Continuous shaft work is supported up to 2.2 kW.
