Product Description:
The 14.F4.C1G-3280 frequency inverter is produced by KEB and belongs to the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. The device converts fixed-frequency three-phase line power into variable-voltage, variable-frequency output, enabling closed-loop speed control of induction motors used in conveyors, pumps, and general machinery. Its compact control platform and integrated braking transistor allow the unit to fit into decentralized panels while managing dynamic deceleration events in industrial automation applications.
The G-size housing connects to a three-phase mains circuit rated for 180–260 V in the 230 V class. The permissible line conductor cross section is 10 mm², and the nominal input current is 36 A. On the motor side, the inverter supplies 33 A of continuous RMS current with an apparent power of 13 kVA, supporting machines rated up to 7.5 kW. For short acceleration periods, the output can reach 49.5 A before the overcurrent trip operates at 59 A. Circuit protection is coordinated with a maximum fuse rating of 50 A. A factory-installed braking transistor routes regenerated energy to a connected braking resistor. The standard fieldbus option provides basic network connectivity without an extra expansion card. The inverter uses a compact control mode that simplifies parameter access.
The switching stage operates at a carrier frequency of 16 kHz and dissipates 220 W of heat; proper airflow is required to keep the heat sink below 90 °C. The unit operates at ambient temperatures from -10 to 45 °C and at site altitudes up to 2000 m while tolerating up to 95 % noncondensing relative humidity. Its enclosure is rated IP20, so the inverter must be installed inside a protected cabinet that prevents contact with internal components and shields the unit from unsuitable conditions.
