Product Description:
The 13.F4.C1D-4A01 is a variable-frequency drive manufactured by KEB and supplied in the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. This COMBIVERT unit converts fixed three-phase mains power into a modulated output so asynchronous or synchronous motors can be speed-regulated according to process demand in conveyors, pumps, and general machinery. Designed as a self-contained inverter, it handles startup ramping, torque control, and fault monitoring without an external chopper, making it a compact solution for decentralized automation cabinets.
Its control section runs in Compact mode, providing the core torque- and speed-oriented functions without extended application modules. Communication with higher-level PLCs is possible through the optional InterBus fieldbus interface, which allows parameter downloads and real-time setpoint exchange over a single two-wire bus. A built-in braking transistor lets the inverter dissipate regenerated energy through an external resistor, preventing DC-bus overvoltage during rapid deceleration. The power stage supports motors rated up to 5.5 kW at nominal line voltage. The IP20 protection class guards against contact with hazardous internal components but does not protect the unit from water, so installation inside a closed electrical enclosure is required.
The inverter uses a compact D-size housing, giving it a reduced footprint that fits narrow switchgear columns while still leaving space for line reactors and contactors. Reliable operation is supported from -10 °C to 45 °C, allowing placement on unconditioned shop floors when cabinet ventilation keeps the surrounding air within that range. The electronics tolerate up to 95% relative humidity without condensation. Heaters or purged air may be required in climates where condensation is expected. As a COMBIVERT F4 device, the inverter shares parameter sets and accessories with other F4 units.
