The 10.F4.C1D-1280 is a frequency inverter produced by KEB as part of the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It converts constant single-phase line power into a variable three-phase supply, allowing precise speed and torque control of AC motors used in automation equipment. By modulating voltage and frequency, the unit supports conveyor regulation, pump flow adjustment, and compact machine drives where cabinet-mounted IP20 components are acceptable.
Control accuracy starts with the analog command channel, which is resolved to 10 bit, while encoder feedback is handled at 15 bit, ensuring repeatable set-point tracking. The inverter draws up to 20 A from a single-phase feeder that can be anywhere within 200/208/220/230/240 V, giving flexibility in regions with differing utility standards. A maximum motor rating of 2.2 kW can be driven, and the power bridge supplies 10 A continuously with surges to 18 A for 30 seconds before current fold-back. Three-phase output voltage is generated from 0 to the mains level, and frequency can be adjusted from 0 to 816 Hz, so overspeed applications are possible without external gear changes.
Thermal limits support operation between -10 °C and 45 °C, while the drive can be stored safely from -25 °C to 70 °C. Apparent power capability reaches 4.0 kVA, and semiconductor protection is enforced by an over-current trip at 22 A. Conversion losses are held to 135 W, so enclosure ventilation must evacuate that heat when the cabinet is sealed. The housing carries an IP20 protection type that permits tool-free wiring but requires installation inside a protected electrical room. With the 3 × 0…U mains output topology, the inverter links directly to delta or wye motor windings and supports parameterization for regenerative braking and vector control.
