The 18.F4.C0H-3441 frequency inverter is produced by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Designed for cabinet mounting, the device modulates the voltage and frequency supplied to three-phase motors so that conveyor lines, pumps, and other automated loads can run at application-specific speeds. It accepts a three-phase feed and converts it inside an IGBT bridge with dynamic pulse control. For integration with plant controllers, the unit can be equipped with an InterBus fieldbus option that allows parameter access and setpoint exchange over the network.
On the output side, the inverter supports motors up to 22 kW, matching medium-sized production actuators. A nominal input demand of 55 A on the 400 V line, together with a permissible conductor cross section of 25 mm², sets the basic requirements for the supply conductors. The converter delivers an output nominal current of 50 A, so motor protection can be matched to the drive’s continuous output capability. Its voltage class is rated for 400 V mains, and the IP20 enclosure provides finger-safe openings but no moisture sealing. An 80 A mains fuse can be installed upstream to clear faults, and overcurrent protection is triggered internally at 90 A. The rated switching frequency is 8 kHz, balancing acoustic noise and semiconductor loss.

Output apparent power reaches 35 kVA, enabling high-inertia loads to start at full torque while the inverter maintains field-oriented control. Cabinet ventilation must account for the heat released by the drive, and the higher carrier setting can reduce audible motor noise in some installations.
