Product Description:
The 16.F4.F1G-4R01 is a frequency inverter manufactured by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It connects directly to a 400 V three-phase supply and converts that energy into variable frequency and voltage, allowing automation systems to control induction or synchronous motors with precise speed regulation. Used in conveyors, pumps, and process equipment, the unit supports energy-efficient operation while matching motor torque to changing load demands during normal machine operation.
An internal brake transistor diverts regenerated energy to external resistors during fast deceleration, protecting the DC bus. Vector regulation is executed through field-oriented control, separating flux and torque components for accurate dynamic response. At input voltages from 305 to 440 V, the drive draws 36.5 A, so upstream protection must be sized accordingly, while a continuous output of 33 A sets its sustained electrical load. Apparent power reaches 23 kVA, and the inverter can supply up to 15 kW of motor output for medium-size machinery. The electronics are enclosed in the G housing format, and a shielded motor cable up to 100 m helps maintain EMC compliance when the unit is connected to two-pole or four-pole motors. A three-phase input also helps keep supply loading balanced during regular operation.
The enclosure has an IP20 protection class and a 3K3 climatic category, allowing cabinet installation where relative humidity may rise to 95% without condensation. Motor speed can be commanded up to 10,000 rpm, giving headroom for high-frequency processes when two-pole machines are used. This operating range supports applications that need stable speed control during rapid process changes. The cabinet-mounted design also fits automated systems that coordinate several drive-controlled functions from a central control platform.
