Product Description:
The 14.F4.C1E-4M00 is a frequency inverter manufactured by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Designed for cabinet integration, the device converts fixed supply power into a variable voltage and frequency output so industrial motors can be started smoothly, accelerated under closed-loop control, and stopped with controlled braking. In production lines, conveyors, pumps, and packaging machines, this inverter replaces mechanical throttles, allows programmable speed profiles, and limits inrush current to help increase equipment life and reduce energy use.
At the input, the unit draws 18.1 A from a 3-phase supply and passes that energy through an IGBT bridge that operates at a rated switching frequency of 8 kHz. When higher dynamic response is needed, the carrier can be raised to a maximum of 16 kHz, though this increases internal dissipation to the specified 240 W power loss. The inverter delivers a continuous output current of 16.5 A, corresponding to 11 kVA of apparent power for balanced motor loads. These ratings set the thermal and electrical limits during normal duty cycles and help the drive support vector-controlled induction motors.
For application sizing, the drive is matched to motors up to 7.5 kW of mechanical output and may be protected on the supply side with a 25 A gL/gG fuse. The inverter meets the IP20 enclosure class, so it requires installation inside a control cabinet with adequate airflow to keep the heat sink temperature below 73 °C. During rapid deceleration, the drive can route up to 15 A of braking current into an external resistor no smaller than 50 Ω, while short-time overloads are limited to 29.7 A and an overcurrent trip activates at 36.3 A. At the specified switching frequency, the stall current equals the continuous output value, allowing full torque at zero speed without additional thermal margin.
