Product Description:
The 09.F4.C1D-4L10 is a three-phase AC frequency inverter produced by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Installed in an automation cabinet, it converts fixed-frequency mains power into a variable voltage and frequency output so controllers can modulate induction-motor speed for conveyors, pumps, or positioning axes. By shaping startup current, governing acceleration ramps, and supporting dynamic braking, the unit bridges the gap between the electric supply and changing machine torque demands. Because the output frequency can be varied continuously, the inverter supports process steps that need stable low-speed running as well as controlled ramp-up to production speed.
The inverter operates on a 400 V supply and, under rated duty, draws 4.5 A from the line while delivering 4.1 A to the motor terminals. It has an integrated brake transistor, allowing regenerative energy to be dissipated without an external chopper. An IP20 enclosure with housing design D and size 09 protects live parts while fitting into compact panels. The control section uses a compact layout that reduces wiring runs, and parameters are accessed through a front keypad or fieldbus connector. The three-phase input arrangement supports balanced power delivery to the inverter section during continuous operation, and conformal-coated electronics monitor heat so semiconductor junctions remain within safe limits during high switching frequencies.
The power stage supplies up to 2.8 kVA, enabling a connected motor to reach 1.5 kW of mechanical output when full torque is required. Short acceleration bursts are supported by a peak current capability of 7.4 A, while an electronic trip activates at 9 A to protect the IGBTs from sustained overload. Motor leads can extend to 50 m with shielding, and installation altitudes up to 2000 m are permitted without derating. Shielded motor cables also help limit interference on nearby control wiring, and the drive remains functional in atmospheres up to 95% relative humidity for demanding duty cycles in moisture-prone environments.
