Product Description:
The 05.F4.C1D-4A01 is a compact AC frequency inverter manufactured by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It converts fixed three-phase mains into a variable voltage and frequency output so induction motors can start smoothly, accelerate in a controlled manner, or hold a selected process speed. This makes it suitable for conveyor, pump, and fan duties where steady motor control is required. Integrated control electronics and panel-mount hardware also let the unit serve as a self-contained drive element in space-conscious control cabinets.
The drive housing measures 90 mm in width, 160 mm in depth, and 240 mm in height, allowing tight side-by-side placement in control enclosures. Four optically isolated control channels provide 4 digital inputs, and two differential voltage paths provide 2 analog inputs for external setpoints. Internally, the inverter also includes one analog output for feedback signaling and one digital output for status indication. Its microcontroller can store eight parameter sets so different motor data can be recalled without reprogramming. A 5 mm mounting-hole diameter in the flange helps align the unit to backplates during installation, and the compact control layout keeps the logic functions on a single board.
The electrical design uses Housing Type D and includes an onboard braking transistor to route regenerative energy to an external resistor during rapid stops. A dedicated comparator enforces a hardware current limit, helping protect the power section from short-term current spikes. Closed-loop regulation uses an internal PI controller to stabilize motor response as load conditions change. The software arranges settings into 11 parameter groups, which makes navigation more orderly during setup. Two relay outputs rated at 250 V supplement the standard signaling functions, giving the inverter additional interface options for external control circuits.
