The 09.F4.C1D-4A01 is a frequency inverter made by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. The device converts three-phase mains power into a variable-frequency, variable-voltage output that lets automation controllers adjust induction motor speed precisely. By combining power electronics and drive control in a single chassis, it supports conveyor belts, pumps, and positioning axes that require compact scalar control inside electrical enclosures.
The inverter operates in Compact control mode, which limits the parameter set to essential torque- and speed-related values for a straightforward setup process. Communication with higher-level controllers is available through an integrated InterBus fieldbus port that exchanges setpoints and status words cyclically. All components are arranged within a Compact D-size housing that minimizes panel depth without restricting airflow across the heat sink. The power stage supplies up to 2.8 kVA of apparent output power, allowing the unit to drive moderately sized induction motors while maintaining voltage stability. Its enclosure carries an IP20 protection rating, meaning live parts are guarded against accidental contact, but the inverter must be installed in a dry cabinet.
A built-in braking transistor accepts an external resistor so regenerative energy is converted into heat during rapid deceleration or operation with overhauling loads. The drive is suited for machines requiring up to 1.5 kW of mechanical motor power, matching typical small-frame motors used in packaging and conveyor applications. Continuous service is approved across an ambient temperature range of -10 to 45 °C, enabling installation in unconditioned plant areas without additional cooling. Operation may also continue at ambient moisture levels reaching 95% relative humidity, provided condensation is prevented. This moisture tolerance supports use in washdown areas where water vapor may be present, although the IP20 enclosure must remain protected from direct exposure to water.
