Product Description:
The 17.F4.F1H-4I30 is a variable-speed frequency inverter manufactured by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Installed between the mains supply and an induction or synchronous motor, it modulates line voltage and frequency to regulate motor operation across changing process demands. This allows conveyors, mixers, and pump drives to accelerate smoothly, decelerate in a controlled manner, and hold stable setpoints under PLC supervision. By adjusting output frequency electronically, the inverter can match motor speed to process demand and reduce mechanical stress during starts and stops.
This inverter is designed for a three-phase supply in the 400 V class and draws a nominal input of 46 A. At the motor terminals, it can deliver 42 A of continuous current, equal to an apparent output of 29 kVA, so connected equipment can run near rated load without immediate derating. A built-in braking transistor dissipates regenerated energy during fast deceleration, while upstream protection is provided by fuses up to 63 A and feeders with 16 mm² line cross-sections. Carrier switching is selectable up to 16 kHz, which helps reduce audible noise and improves current waveform quality. The selectable carrier frequency also allows a balance between switching losses and motor acoustics for the connected application. The unit is suitable for climatic category 3K3, can operate at altitudes up to 2000 m, and tolerates relative humidity up to 95% in standard control-room installations.
Maximum supported shaft power is 18.5 kW, which fits many motors used with this inverter frame. For applications that favor electromagnetic compatibility over lower audible noise, the inverter can be set to a minimum pulse frequency of 8 kHz. The housing weighs 14 kg, which helps keep panel mounting manageable in medium-power cabinets. Its IP20 enclosure is intended for cabinet installations where direct water exposure is not expected, and live parts remain protected against accidental contact from larger objects. The mass and enclosure style suit enclosed panels where airflow and touch protection are handled at the cabinet level.
