Product Description:
The 09.F4.S1D-4B11 is a frequency inverter produced by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Designed for cabinet installation, the unit modulates three-phase supply voltage to regulate induction motor speed in automated machinery, conveyors, and pump drives. It belongs to the COMBIVERT F4 product class and uses a consistent control interface found across the manufacturer’s midrange drive lineup. This interface supports straightforward parameter entry and access to operating data from the front of the unit.
Rated for an output apparent power of 2.8 kVA, the inverter can continuously supply motors up to 1.5 kW without derating. An IP20 enclosure permits installation inside ventilated electrical panels where basic finger protection is required. The permitted operating temperature ranges from -10 to 45 °C, allowing the control and power components to maintain their stated accuracy throughout this range. Moisture tolerance reaches 95% relative humidity without condensation, making the device suitable for production areas exposed to elevated ambient humidity. The compact D-size housing minimizes panel depth while providing space for the bus capacitors and integrated brake chopper. Its cabinet-mounted design also keeps the power electronics protected by the surrounding electrical enclosure.
Speed regulation is executed in Standard control mode, providing open-loop V/f and sensorless vector control options. Communication with plant networks is available through the InterBus fieldbus option, enabling parameter access and status reporting over twisted-pair cabling at typical automation data rates. A built-in braking transistor directs regenerated energy to an external resistor, preventing DC-bus overvoltage during rapid deceleration cycles. Output switching uses a nominal carrier frequency of 2 kHz, balancing acoustic noise against semiconductor losses for general-purpose operation. Control terminals connect to a pluggable header on the front face, allowing wiring changes without removing the inverter from its mounting position. This terminal arrangement also provides direct access to control wiring while the unit remains installed inside the cabinet.
