Product Description:
The 07.F4.CRD-3420 frequency inverter is produced by KEB and belongs to the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. The unit converts constant input power into a regulated three-phase output so induction or synchronous motors can match process speed and torque demands. Integrated control electronics and selectable parameter sets let the drive implement closed-loop or open-loop motor control in packaging lines, pump groups, and conveyor modules.
The analog input has a resolution of 10 bit, and the digital reference path resolves 15 bit commands, allowing fine speed reference increments. Internally, the inverter chops the 400 V DC link at a carrier of 4 kHz, generating a sinusoidal output that can be swept up to 816 Hz, which extends operation beyond the base frequency of standard motors for field-weakening service. The power section provides a continuous phase current of 2.6 A, derived from a three-phase supply where the nominal line draw is 2.8 A. With an output nominal power of 1.8 kVA, the drive supports motors connected through shielded cable lengths up to 50 m, and the recommended conductor cross section is 1.5 mm² to limit voltage drop. All circuitry is rated for a system voltage of 400 V, matching common industrial distribution networks.
Short-term overloads are handled by a peak output of 4.6 A for 30 seconds, allowing acceleration of high-inertia loads before settling to the rated value. Branch circuit protection is coordinated with a maximum fuse size of 10 A, and the open-frame enclosure has an IP20 rating for installation inside ventilated control panels. Thermal design keeps the heat sink surface below 85 °C, and an integrated sensor triggers derating if that level is approached. Mechanical integration is simplified by the compact package measuring 90 × 250 × 160 mm, and total system wiring can remain EMC compliant when the shielded motor cable does not exceed 50 m.
