Product Description:
The 13.F4.C1E-4M00 is a variable-frequency inverter manufactured by KEB as part of the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase power into a controllable output that allows automation systems to regulate motor speed, torque, and direction with closed-loop feedback. Within a machine cell, the unit functions as the drive interface between PLC control signals and the induction or permanent-magnet motor it feeds. This allows coordinated motion and energy-efficient operation across conveyors, pumps, and process equipment.
The drive offers two programmable analog inputs, each with an input resistance of 40 kΩ and processed with 11-bit resolution for fine speed or torque references. A +10 VDC / 4 mA setpoint potentiometer supply is provided for local trim. One programmable analog output sources up to 5 mA, and its output stage is buffered by less than 100 Ω impedance and converted with 9-bit accuracy for feedback to external indicators or controllers. Field sensors can be powered from an auxiliary output rated at +15 VDC / 100 mA. Command inputs accept either sourcing or sinking signals because the input logic can be configured as PNP / NPN. These analog and logic interfaces support integration with a wide range of control architectures.
For discrete control, the inverter provides four programmable digital inputs and two relay outputs, and each relay is rated at 30 VDC / 1 A for starter coils or status lamps. A transistor output can drive loads up to 20 mA for high-speed signaling. The inverter includes an internal brake transistor, allowing dynamic energy dissipation during rapid deceleration without an external chopper. Eight independent parameter sets can be stored, enabling fast changeover between different motor or application profiles. The digital resources, together with the brake handling and memory functions, allow the inverter to manage cyclic start-stop tasks, indexing, and multi-product production lines without additional hardware.
