Product Description:
The 18.F4.F1H-4I00 is a COMBIVERT F4 frequency inverter manufactured by KEB and assigned to the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Positioned between the mains supply and an AC motor, it converts fixed-frequency supply voltage into a variable sinusoidal output that allows closed-loop speed and torque regulation. The unit is suitable for automated conveyors, mixers, and pumps because its vector-based control logic maintains precise shaft performance under dynamic load conditions.
It drives machines rated up to 22 kW and uses field-oriented control to calculate flux and torque vectors in real time. Command handling begins with two analog inputs and 2 analog outputs; each analog channel uses a 10-bit conversion depth so control loops can detect small reference changes. Seven logic terminals provide 7 digital inputs for start, jog, or function selection, while two digital outputs and one relay contact report operating status to supervisory PLCs. Four internal programmable inputs extend interlocking logic across the inverter’s three selectable operating modes. Parameter organization includes 17 groups, and eight complete parameter sets can be stored on board for rapid recipe changes during product changeovers. An integrated braking transistor dissipates regenerative energy, eliminating the need for an external braking chopper during fast deceleration.
The analog outputs refresh every 2 ms, supporting positioning drives that require high update rates. The electronics are enclosed in an H-size chassis with an IP20 protection rating. The design supports ambient temperatures from -10 to 45 °C and up to 95% relative humidity without condensation, allowing operation in most control cabinets. A standard fieldbus interface connects the inverter to distributed control networks. This network connection supports the exchange of commands and operating data with a higher-level control system while complementing the available digital and analog I/O.
