Product Description:
The 10.F4.CBD-4A01 is an AC frequency inverter built by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. The unit modulates the voltage and frequency supplied to an induction motor so that speed and torque match process demand in industrial automation lines, conveyors, or pump stations. As a compact controller, it replaces mechanical speed-setting components and allows programmable ramp-up, deceleration, and energy-saving operation at partial load. Its design combines power circuitry and control logic in a single enclosure for straightforward cabinet installation.
Under nominal conditions, the inverter draws a line current of 6.4 A and delivers an output phase current of 5.8 A, which corresponds to a continuous apparent power of 4 kVA. When paired with a three-phase motor, this rating supports up to 2.2 kW of mechanical shaft power. For short acceleration periods or load surges, the drive can supply 10.4 A for a limited duration, and if the line current rises to 12.7 A, the internal overcurrent trip disconnects the output. Input terminals accept copper conductors up to 2.5 mm², and the D housing footprint helps keep panel width low. The drive also meets the harmonic and emission limits in EN 61800-3, so it can share mains supplies with sensitive automation electronics.
For upstream protection, the manufacturer recommends a supply fuse not exceeding 20 A. The electronics meet climatic demand class 3K3, so operation is permitted from -10 to 45 °C with relative humidity levels typical of a ventilated switch room, while the unit tolerates -25 to 70 °C without condensation when powered down. The IP20 rating provides finger-safe access but still requires installation inside an enclosure to prevent dust or liquid entry. A compact control profile simplifies parameter entry, and the D-style housing supports stacked mounting with other F4 modules. Its compact layout also helps keep wiring distances short and supports reliable EMC performance.
