XMS2 ctrlX DRIVE units are second-generation single-axis inverter modules that operate from a shared 750 VDC bus and use an inverter power stage to supply the connected motor.
Maximum current ratings span 6 A to 375 A, with internal air-cooled and coldplate-cooled versions available depending on the power level and installation design. Multi-Ethernet communication supports Sercos III, EtherCAT, PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP, and Ethernet TCP/IP, while DRIVElink is available on designated control configurations. Hardware options include multi-encoder evaluation, encoder emulation, digital and analog I/O expansion, Safe Torque Off, and SafeMotion functions for speed- and position-related safety tasks. XMS2 modules are intended for modular single- and multi-axis drive systems in which multiple inverter axes can share a common DC bus supplied by compatible ctrlX DRIVE supply units.
