Product Description:
The XMS2-C0030BNN-01NETTBNNNN-S06RSN2NNNN0NN drive module is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. It functions as the power section of a ctrlX DRIVE system, delivering regulated three-phase output to servo or induction motors in industrial automation cells such as packaging, assembly, and material-handling stations. The unit mounts beside its matched control hardware on a common heat sink and provides the electrical interface between the shared DC bus and the mechanical axis. This arrangement supports tightly coordinated motion profiles while keeping the power and control components organized within the drive system.
It is configured as a single-axis power section that drives one motor per module. During operation, the device functions as an inverter and modulates DC-link power to provide precise speed and torque control. The cold plate base removes heat through a machine plate or liquid-cooling circuit instead of relying on internal fans. Network traffic is handled by a Multi-Ethernet interface, and the physical connection uses an RJ-45, 8-pin jack that accepts shielded twisted-pair cabling. Communication conforms to the 100BASE-TX physical layer for reliable real-time data transfer. The power stage supports up to 30 A of continuous output current, making it suitable for compatible medium-frame servo motors.
The selectable Ethernet fieldbus protocol includes EtherCAT (SoE) for cyclic command and position data. Functional safety is provided through Safe Torque Off via fieldbus, which prevents torque-producing output without requiring separate safety wiring. The unit uses a second-generation design within the ctrlX DRIVE platform. Its control section is supplied separately, allowing the power module to be paired with the appropriate control hardware for the application. The module is configured without a control panel to reduce the space required inside the cabinet. Optional hardware slots are left unoccupied, and the motor connector set is not included with this configuration. Application wiring uses a CAT5e (ITP) cable to maintain signal integrity for Ethernet communication. The runtime configuration uses the standard DRIVE Runtime scope and standard release type for supported motion-control functions.
