It belongs to the broader ctrlX DRIVE product group and regulates power supplied to a servomotor or induction motor in an automated cell. The module exchanges command and status data with higher-level controllers through an integrated Ethernet backplane. Its modular format supports installation with compatible supply, control, and drive components inside an enclosed automation cabinet.
The module supports single-axis operation, and its power stage converts DC bus energy into a controlled three-phase motor output. Network integration is provided through a Multi-Ethernet interface, while EtherNet/IP communication carries real-time cyclic traffic without requiring an additional option card. Control processing resides in the ctrlX DRIVE plus control section, which separates control functions from the power electronics.
