Product Description:
The XMS2-W0023ANN-01NETT0ECNN-S03RSN2NNNN0NN is a drive module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. Housed in a compact book-size frame, it functions as a power stage that converts DC-bus energy into a controlled three-phase output for servo motors. The module supports motion applications in industrial automation cells, conveyor lines, and material-handling systems. It mounts beside other ctrlX DRIVE sections to form a scalable platform with shared DC power, communication backplanes, and safety circuitry.
The unit uses a single-axis inverter, with one power section dedicated to controlling one motor. Its Multi-Ethernet interface supports communication with several industrial networks, while Safe Torque Off inhibits torque-producing motor current without requiring external contactors. An integrated multi-encoder interface accepts incremental, EnDat, or SSI feedback signals without an additional encoder card. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, which directs cabinet air through the integral heat sink to maintain operating temperatures in compact enclosures. The electrical components have an enclosure rating of IP20 at DC 750 V, providing protection against accidental finger contact when the module is installed inside a suitable control cabinet. The control section follows the ctrlX DRIVE architecture and connects directly to the shared system backplane. The module is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the connector and cable assembly to be selected for the connected motor.
Real-time command data is exchanged through the EtherCAT (SoE) protocol, providing deterministic communication for synchronized position and velocity loops. As a second-generation platform module, the unit supports expanded diagnostic functions for monitoring drive and motor operation. It does not include a front control panel, so configuration and parameter access are handled through engineering software or the connected industrial network. The inverter operating mode reconstructs adjustable three-phase AC power from the shared DC link according to commands received from the motion controller. The installed multi-encoder interface serves as the module’s auxiliary feedback interface, while the remaining control functions are handled by the integrated ctrlX DRIVE electronics.
