Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat supplies the XMS2-W0023ANN-02NETM5ECDA-S04RSN2NNNN5NN as part of the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series within the ctrlX DRIVE product group. This second-generation inverter forms the power stage for an individual servo or induction motor in single-axis machinery. By modulating a 750 V DC bus, it delivers the variable frequency and amplitude required for positioning, speed control, and coordinated motion tasks in industrial automation cells. Integration with the ctrlX automation platform supports compact, cabinet-mounted motion systems that share a common configuration environment and scalable safety functions.
The drive uses the ctrlX DRIVE plus control section and is configured for single-axis operation. Its standard interfaces include three analog inputs, two analog outputs, and four digital inputs. Additional channels can be connected through the digital and analog I/O extension option. The multi-encoder interface accepts several feedback transducer formats for motor control. Field communication uses Multi-Ethernet hardware, and EtherCAT over Servo Drive Profile supports deterministic cyclic data exchange. The control electronics consume 79 W from a regulated 24 V ±20% supply. No control panel is fitted, so parameters are managed through external tools. Internally ducted air removes heat from the electronics and power components. With a pulse-width modulation frequency of 4 kHz, the inverter supplies a continuous motor current of 7.7 A without exceeding its thermal limits.
The DC-bus connection uses power terminals rated for 120 A. During dynamic operating events, the unit can deliver a peak output current of 23 A for motor acceleration and other short-duration loads. Integrated SafeMotion hardware provides certified safety functions that include Safe Torque Off and Safe Stop 1. The housing weighs 2.8 kg, which limits the load placed on the cabinet mounting structure. Its IP20 enclosure protects against accidental contact with hazardous internal parts and requires installation inside a suitable cabinet. A motor connector set is not included with the drive, so the required connector components must be selected separately for the intended motor connection.
