Product Description:
The XMS2-W0090ANN-01AETT0NNNN-S04RSN2NNNN0NN is an inverter drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation, this unit supplies regulated motor power to one axis and connects machine modules to the broader ctrlX automation platform. In industrial automation, the drive executes velocity, position, and torque commands generated by higher-level controllers, allowing coordinated motion without separate converters or external I/O cards. Its cabinet-mounted design places the motor control functions near related power distribution and automation equipment.
The power stage supports a single-axis configuration, so one motor channel is energized per drive, simplifying wiring and parameter sets on compact machines. Network traffic is handled through a Multi-Ethernet interface, which allows several real-time fieldbuses to be used without changing the hardware. Deterministic cyclic data is transmitted through EtherCAT (SoE), providing submillisecond synchronization with drives and PLCs that share the same network. Local operation is available through a control panel on the front cover, providing keypad access to setup, status, and diagnostic menus when a computer is unavailable. Setpoint processing and safety logic reside on the ctrlX DRIVE control section, which also provides expansion slots for optional technology functions. These communication and control capabilities allow the drive to receive motion commands and return operating data through the machine network.
Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, and an integrated fan draws cabinet air across the heat sinks without requiring external ductwork. The hardware uses a second-generation mechanical format that matches current mounting rails and busbar spacing across the ctrlX product line. For machine safety, the power stage includes Safe Torque Off; removing the enable signal interrupts gate firing so motor torque ceases without the use of mechanical contactors. The enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP20, which protects against contact with hazardous internal parts and the entry of larger solid objects. Its DC link is rated for 750 V, allowing connection to shared intermediate circuits in compatible drive systems. The unit is supplied without a motor connector set, leaving the required motor connection arrangement to the surrounding cabinet design.
