The XMS2-W0100ANN-02AETM5ECEC-S06RSN2NNNN5NN is an inverter power section from the Bosch Rexroth Indramat XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. It converts power from a shared 750 V DC bus into a controlled three-phase output for servo or induction motors used in automated manufacturing cells. Installed alongside other ctrlX DRIVE modules, the unit supports coordinated motion for conveyors, pick-and-place axes, packaging stations, and other machine applications. Its modular format allows the power section and control section to be combined within a compact control enclosure.
This drive is configured as a single-axis module, so each unit powers one motor and helps conserve cabinet space. Network traffic is handled by a Multi-Ethernet interface, while deterministic setpoints are exchanged through EtherCAT (SoE) for cycle-synchronous control. Command execution takes place in the ctrlX DRIVE plus control section, which attaches to the power stage and contains parameter memory and safety logic. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, eliminating the need for external cooling ducts. As a second-generation device, the drive offers a higher switching frequency and a smaller footprint than earlier ctrlX units. The front control panel provides local access for parameter entry and diagnostic review. Field-oriented regulation is supported through inverter-based operation, and project-specific cabling can be selected because a motor connector set is not included.
The integrated multi-encoder interface can evaluate a motor encoder and an external scale concurrently, supporting gantry alignment, load sharing, and applications that require direct load-position feedback. Functional safety is provided by the integrated SafeMotion option, which supports functions such as Safe Torque Off and Safe Operating Stop without separate safety hardware. The power section carries an IP20 protection rating, making it suitable for ventilated control enclosures that protect the unit from accidental finger contact. Its enclosure format also permits internal airflow to pass across heat-producing components while the surrounding cabinet provides the required protection from dust, moisture, and unauthorized access.
