Product Description:
The XMS2-W0006ANN-01NETT0NNNN-S06RSN2NNNN0NN drive is a single-axis inverter module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. As a second-generation unit, it draws energy from the DC link and exchanges commands through a Multi-Ethernet interface using EtherCAT with the Servo Drive Profile over EtherCAT protocol. The unit combines a power section with a ctrlX DRIVE control section and is supplied without a control panel, which reduces the required cabinet space. In industrial automation systems, it converts DC-bus energy into a variable, pulse-width-modulated output for precise motor torque and velocity control.
The power stage supplies a continuous output current of 2 A at a switching frequency of 4 kHz, while short-term load demands are supported by a maximum output current of 6 A. The internal DC link has a nominal voltage of 750 V and can rise to 900 V without impairing operation. A Safe Torque Off circuit is factory-installed and supports functional safety requirements up to SIL 3. The housing has an IP20 protection rating, so the module must be installed inside a closed electrical enclosure that prevents exposure to moisture and conductive debris. Forced internal air cooling directs air from the lower intake across the heat sinks before discharging it from the module, eliminating the need for an external heat exchanger.
The DC-bus energy store has an input capacitance of 1.7 mF, while charging transients are limited by a 4 A inrush current. Thermal losses reach 69 W at rated load and are removed by an internal fan that maintains an airflow of 36 m³/h. The control electronics draw less than the 79 W limit during operation. A DC-bus connection current capacity of 120 A permits the module to share a common bus with neighboring drive axes in a coordinated system. With a mass of 2.8 kg, the module can be secured to a DIN rail or backplane without placing excessive load on the cabinet structure. The absence of a control panel also leaves front access available for the module connections and status indicators.
