Product Description:
The XMS2-W0120ANN-01AETT0ECNN-S05RSN2NNNN0NN is a single-axis inverter drive manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. It belongs to the ctrlX DRIVE product group and represents the second generation of this platform. The unit converts power from a shared DC link into controlled AC power for one motor, allowing precise regulation of motor speed, torque, and position. An integrated control panel and a dedicated ctrlX DRIVE control section support local setup and access to operating information. Multi-Ethernet capability and an EtherCAT over SERCOS (SoE) channel provide deterministic motion commands and status feedback. The Safe Torque Off function can also be routed to an upstream controller as part of the machine safety system.
The power section is rated for continuous and peak current of 120 A, allowing it to operate motors whose current demand remains within this limit. A nominal DC-bus voltage of 750 V supports power delivery to the connected axis. The drive disconnects at an overvoltage threshold of 900 V to protect its internal semiconductors. Thermal losses reach 625 W at full load and are removed through an internal air path across the heat sink. The cooling system moves 74 m³/h of air through the unit, eliminating the need for an external fan tray. During deceleration, inverter operation allows regenerative energy from the motor to return to the common DC bus for use by other connected axes or for dissipation by the drive system.
The housing is 125 mm wide, 309 mm high, and 196.5 mm deep, providing the dimensions needed for cabinet placement and clearance calculations. The unit weighs 6.2 kg, so its mounting surface must support the drive securely during operation. The power terminals have IP20 protection, which prevents accidental finger contact but requires the drive to remain inside a suitable enclosure. No motor connector set is supplied, allowing cabling and connectors to be selected for the motor and installation layout. A multi-encoder interface accepts compatible motor feedback signals for closed-loop motion control. The internal control panel provides direct access to operating status and basic settings without requiring a separate display device.
