Product Description:
The XMS2-W0054ANN-01NETT0NNNN-S04RSN2NNNN0NN is a modular drive power section manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. Designed as part of the ctrlX DRIVE platform, the unit functions as an inverter stage that converts DC bus energy into variable AC power for a connected servo or induction motor. Within an automation cell, it provides the regulated torque and speed required for positioning, conveying, or synchronized motion tasks performed by downstream machinery.
This power section controls one mechanical load because it is a single-axis module. Network cabling is simplified by the integrated Multi-Ethernet interface, which supports several industrial networks without requiring different option cards. For deterministic motion control, it supports EtherCAT (SoE), allowing cyclic setpoints and feedback to travel across the fieldbus with precise timing. Cooling is managed by internal air cooling, meaning an enclosed fan draws cabinet air through the heat sink instead of requiring an external duct. Functional safety is provided by Safe Torque Off; when the STO channel is de-energized, gate signals are blocked and the motor can no longer generate torque without the use of mechanical contactors.
The housing has an IP20 rating, so it provides basic protection against finger contact and must be mounted inside a closed control cabinet. The power section supports a DC bus voltage of up to 750 V. As a second-generation model, it shares diagnostic routines and a compatible mechanical form factor with current ctrlX DRIVE components, allowing mixed installations without spacer plates. The power section operates strictly as an inverter, with no additional regenerative circuitry or brake chopper installed. It is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing angled or straight connectors to be selected to match the motor cable size and installation layout.
