Product Description:
The XMS2-W0036ANN-01AETT0NNNN-S05RSN2NNNN0NN is a single-axis inverter drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XMS2 ctrlX Drives series. It converts a regulated DC supply into variable-frequency output for servo and induction motors used in automated machinery. The device combines power conversion, motion control, and an integral operator interface to simplify cabinet installation and system setup. Its single-axis configuration supports applications that require one controlled motor axis within a modular drive system.
Designed for single-axis motion, the drive belongs to the ctrlX DRIVE product group and represents the second generation of this platform. The power stage delivers a continuous current of 18 A at 4 kHz and reaches a peak current of 36 A. The DC-bus interface is rated for DC 750 V, and a 1.7 mF capacitor bank smooths voltage ripple. An inrush limiter holds the current to 4 A for 20 ms, while the terminal can conduct 120 A to adjacent modules. The control electronics draw 79 W from a 24 V supply that also powers the detachable panel provided with the unit. Command and diagnostic data pass through a Multi-Ethernet port that carries EtherCAT (SoE) frames directly to the ctrlX DRIVE control section. Internal air cooling removes heat generated by switching losses during operation.
Functional safety is handled by the integrated Safe Torque Off circuit, which disables the output stage on demand to prevent the motor from producing torque. The power electronics tolerate up to 900 V on the DC bus, providing headroom for regenerated energy during rapid braking events. The enclosure has an IP20 rating once the unit is mounted inside a control cabinet, providing basic protection against finger contact while the cabinet supplies additional sealing. The unit is supplied without a motor connector set or optional power-section add-ons. Application-specific motor cabling and any required external components must be selected separately for the installed system.
